Description
The Accurate Altimeter PRO is an app for Android that can measure altitude without needing an internet connection. It has three different methods to ensure accurate measurements.
Historical charts show how much higher you went during your travels. Maps with the names of mountain peaks and lines that show the shape of the land. Choose the height level from any spot on the map. Photos with the name of the location and its height.
Altitude can be estimated:
– With satellites triangulation. Slow and less accurate but it works even with no internet connection.
– Take the ground elevation at your current position from a global elevation map.
– Use the pressure sensor of your device (if available). It calibrates itself on pressure from the nearest weather station to improve accuracy.
As additional PRO features you can also:
– compensate for a systematic error of the pressure sensor
– download a larger area of the global elevation map
– record altitude without opening the App
– pick elevation on the map with no limitation
– have no advertising
